MOLD INSPECTIONS - is the visual “Pre-mold sampling” inspection. It consists of visual inspection and reporting of all readily accessible areas for mold and/or conditions that may indicate the presence of mold. No samples are taken in this visual inspection. Our reports will note all areas inspected and “Red Flag” areas will be noted if its is recommended to have sample taken.

MOLD SAMPLING - is where the inspector will take swab or bulk or air samples of “Red Flag” areas or areas requested by the client. Swabs are small cue-tip samples that are rubbed on the testing area. Bulk samples are patches of carpet or a piece of wall that is to be tested. Air samples are always considered 2 samples. Air from the room or area of desired testing and outdoor air for comparison (this is required to get proper test results).

MOLD CLEARANCE TESTING - consists of 2 parts. Visual inspection for mold problems in area(s) of remediation and then the collection of sample(s) in these remediated areas. The objective of the Clearance Testing is to determine if mold still exist in the designed remediation area. Air samples are required (Indoor and comparison Outdoor Air samples) to complete the clearance. Testing is always conducted when mold remediation and clean-up efforts are completed but before containment is removed and renovation activities have started. A passing Clearance test is defined as air samples collected indoors being quantitatively equal or less that the outdoor air samples collected and qualitatively similar.
